A BAR MAGAZINE FOR EVERY PRODUCTION NEED
Whether you need to work with large diameter bars or your production focuses on micro-components, IEMCA has a solution for every production need. IEMCA bar feeders are designed to ensure optimal management of the bar stock on board the machine, optimize the material supply process, and increase unmanned autonomy and capacity.
IEMCA solutions are designed to serve the operator, following international physical and cognitive ergonomics standards.
1. Integrated bar magazine on board the machine
All IEMCA bar feeders are equipped with an integrated bar magazine on board the machine. The models for single-spindle and multi-spindle lathes are equipped with a single rack magazine, the most common IEMCA solution. The useful length of the inclined plane depends on the type of bar feeder: in some cases, an additional magazine extension is available to increase the autonomy of bars on board the machine. The single rack magazine is adjusted to the diameter to allow for accurate selection and loading of a single bar inside the guide channel.
For the management of large diameter bars, a bar loading support system is made available to assist the operator during loading actions. IEMCA bar magazines are designed to ensure operations are carried out in complete safety and reduce the physical effort required. For example, there may be photoelectric barriers that inhibit dangerous movements without interrupting the machine's operating cycle.
In the management of small diameters, a reliable and precise walking beam magazine is provided to select and load ultra-thin bars up to 0.3 mm in diameter, which are extremely light and flexible.
2. Additional bar magazines for greater production autonomy
IEMCA has designed solutions that can accompany or replace the standard single rack magazine to increase the loading capacity on the bar feeder and maximize production autonomy. In this way, IEMCA bar feeders are able to meet the needs of an unattended production process, characterized by long and uninterrupted work cycles.
Depending on the bar feeder model, it is possible to choose between one or more additional magazines, which can accompany the integrated single rack (in this case called "Caddy") or replace it. The stock of bars on board the bar feeder is larger, the material supply procedure is improved and requires less supervision, and internal logistics costs are reduced.
IEMCA additional magazines can be tailored to the space and production facility management needs. UP, Bundle (F), and Open Access Bundle (OAB) models allow for the loading of an entire bundle of bars via forklift, pallet jack, or overhead crane, directly into the magazine cradle. IEMCA has also designed a trolley for UP and OAB, which facilitates the loading operation. The P, F, and OAB Caddy magazines can be easily and quickly moved, as they are equipped with wheels, in case they need to be moved away from the machine to increase accessibility for retooling or maintenance operations.
IEMCA solutions are able to meet your production needs, adapt to your work cycle, and ensure full production continuity.
